The Financial Aid Office works diligently to assist students and their families as they apply for and receive financial aid. We are here to help with every step of the financial aid process.听 Our office administered听federal, state, and institutional听aid programs,听including听grants, scholarships, student loans, and federal work-study,听that totaled nearly $37听million in 2023-2024.听 More听than 90% of our students receive some type of financial aid.
听Applying for Financial Aid
- 听(new applicants only). You cannot be awarded financial aid until you are admitted, so we suggest that you apply for admission early.

- For the 2025-2026听award year, FAFSA applications are accepted beginning December听1, 2024, and will be accepted through June 30, 2026.

. Scholarships help to听lessen your out-of-pocket expenses and the amount borrowed through loans. Upon admission, students听are automatically听considered for听merit-based scholarships, but a variety of endowments, as well as numerous outside scholarships, also exist.听 Visit and search for听PittFund$Me in your portal to set up your听profile, and visit for other听outside scholarship opportunities.
Financial Aid Offer听
After completing the FAFSA, you will receive听your Financial Aid Offer听via email.听 First-year and transfer students receive the Financial Aid offer in March for 2025-2026.听 Continuing students will receive their Financial Aid offer in May after Satisfactory Academic Progress is checked.听 The offer听lists eligibility regarding:

- Work Programs
- Institutional Scholarships
