A visiting student is someone who elects to enroll as a non-degree seeking student for a single semester before returning to their home college or university to complete their degree.
The first step of the process is deciding whether you want to attend Pitt-Johnstown for a fall/spring term, or during the summer term. Though similar, the processes are handled by two different offices on campus.
Summer Term
All summer term applications for visiting students are handled through the Registrar鈥檚 office, which may be reached at 814-296-7055.
Fall/Spring Term
The first step recommended for any prospective visiting student interested in the fall/spring terms is to contact the Pitt-Johnstown Admissions Office, who will guide you through the process, as well as answer any questions you may have. Visiting students must also work closely with their home school, usually the Academic Dean鈥檚 office, to ensure that all courses taken at Pitt-Johnstown will transfer in.
A prospective visiting student will need to send the following to the Pitt-Johnstown Admissions office:

- Official college transcript from your current institution

Summer Session Applicants
Students interested in enrolling in courses during summer sessions must apply as a "visiting" student through the聽Registrar's Office.
