Pitt Johnstown strives to ensure a welcoming and safe environment in which all members of the campus community are treated with respect and compassion.The Office of听Community Relations and Engagement offers resources and support to raise awareness, provide education and empower students who identify as members or allies of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary and queer communities.

Student Resources
Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) -听This student organization provides a safe, non-judgmental space as well as a support network for the LGBTQ+ student body.
Gender and Sexuality Course Offerings
-听Students may designate a preferred name that they want to be known by in the University's systems - this is information from the Pittsburgh campus but all other information remains the same. For a UPJ ID card with a changed name, you will not be charged. However you should email Bob Knipple at knipple@pitt.edu prior to going to the ID center.
