Guidelines for Guaranteed Admission:
- Transfer students who attended a regional campus must complete 45 credits overall. A minimum of 30 credits must be completed at the regional campus. The minimum Grade Point Average is 3.0.听

Guidelines for Admissions Consideration:
- Complete at least 24 credits with a GPA of at least
- 3.00 (Regional campuses, second Pitt bachelor鈥檚, and external transfers)
- Finish the equivalent of the first-year SCI Curriculum with grades of 鈥淐鈥 or better in each course.
- Programming: Students must complete a course in which they learn to solve programs through algorithmic thinking and programming in a language such as Java, Python, C, or C#.
- For Pitt students, common courses include CS听0007, CS听0010, CS听0011, CS听0012, and CMPINF听0401.
- 听Quantitative Skills: For admission, students may complete one course in each category or two courses in the same category. Note that some majors within SCI have more specific quantitative requirements. Students considering a specific major are strongly encouraged to consult the requirements of their intended major to determine which quantitative courses are most relevant to their studies.
- Mathematics: Courses in university-level mathematics covering topics in calculus, linear algebra, or theoretical mathematics.
- For Pitt students, common courses include MATH 0120, MATH 0220, MATH 0280, MATH 0400, and MATH 0413.
- Statistics: Courses in university-level statistics.
- For Pitt students, common courses include STAT 0200, STAT 1000, and STAT 1100.
- Mathematics: Courses in university-level mathematics covering topics in calculus, linear algebra, or theoretical mathematics.
- Introductory Composition: Students must complete a course in which they use composition as a creative form of critical inquiry.
- For Pitt students, common courses include ENGCMP听0200 and other ENGCMP variants of 鈥淪eminar in Composition.鈥
- Programming: Students must complete a course in which they learn to solve programs through algorithmic thinking and programming in a language such as Java, Python, C, or C#.
Please note that these requirements are for eligibility and do not guarantee admission. Individual undergraduate programs reserve the right to close admission to a major once capacity has been reached. Course requirements must be completed and submitted documentation must show final grades for these courses. Applications that are incomplete, meaning they do not include final grades for the required classes at the time of application, will receive rejection notices within the regular notification period.

Guidelines for Admissions Consideration:
- Have a GPA of at least 3.0. Students wishing to major in Bioengineering will need a 3.5 GPA or higher.听
- Finish the equivalent of the Freshman Engineering Curriculum Requirements听with grades of "C" or better.

- General Chemistry 1 & 2

Students missing one or more required courses are looked at on a case-by-case basis.

Students Wishing to relocate to Johnstown or Another Regional Campus
Students may also relocate to another regional campus. A minimum QPA of 2.00 is required for relocation. The specific courses that students should take will depend on the intended major. If you are relocating to Pitt Johnstown from another Pitt campus, please visit the relocation person on your campus to start your relocation process.
