Dr. Tanya Kunberger is an Associate Professor and the Division Chair for Engineering and Computer Science at the �ձ�һ��Ƭ at Johnstown. She joined the University in the summer of 2023 from Florida Gulf Coast University, where she started in 2007 as a founding faculty member of engineering.

Dr. Sami Alshurafa is an Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the �ձ�һ��Ƭ in Johnstown. He received his Ph.D. in structural engineering from the University of Manitoba in 2012. Before joining the �ձ�һ��Ƭ, he was an Assistant Professor at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh and the American University of Al Khaimah in the UAE. Dr. Alshurafa is interested in developing new technology for designing and fabricating composite guyed structures, composite housings, and patentable construction tools. He has published many articles on developing guyed towers with advanced composite materials and glulam Tudor arches. His research interests include advanced composite materials, ambient housing technology, and rehabilitating old concrete and wood structures. In addition, Dr. Alshurafa is also interested in pedagogical methods and strategies, specifically those related to education-based management and interpersonal communication management.

Shannon L. Isovitsch Parks is an Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the �ձ�һ��Ƭ at Johnstown (UPJ), focused on teaching water resources and environmental engineering. Prior to joining UPJ in 2016, Dr. Parks worked for approximately 15 years in industry, including developing sustainable wastewater treatment and solid waste reuse technologies, serving on the Alcoa Foundation Board of Directors, and consulting for government agencies, municipalities, and industrial clients. In addition to her industry and academic experience, Dr. Parks served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa, supporting a local Non-Governmental Organization on water sanitation projects. Dr. Parks is a registered Professional Engineer and holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a MS and PhD degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Maher M Murad is a professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the �ձ�һ��Ƭ at Johnstown. Prior to joining Pitt-Johnstown in 2001, Dr. Murad was a visiting instructor at Bucknell University and had overseas teaching and professional experience. He worked as a technical manager at Modern Contracting in Morocco and as a highway project manager at Acer Freeman Fox International in Dubai. His teaching interests include transportation, highway design, and pavement design and management. His research interests include highway safety, pavement management, and engineering education.
